Oreno Dispatch
01 Editorial Standards

The Method Behind the Record.

Oreno Dispatch operates under the following editorial principles: articles are reviewed by at least one second editor before publication, sources are cited where appropriate, corrections are noted publicly, and writers disclose any commercial relationships that could influence their selection of subject matter.

This page documents the full editorial process — from subject selection through to publication and post-publication correction — so that readers can evaluate the work on its procedural merits as well as its content.

02 The Editorial Process
01

Subject Identification

Article subjects are identified through the editorial team's ongoing supplement and nutrition journalling practice, reader correspondence, and a review of the published nutritional research landscape. Subjects are selected on the basis of editorial interest and documented relevance to the active men's nutrition context — not commercial consideration.

02

Observational Documentation

Where a piece draws on personal observation, the writer maintains a structured journal across the observation period — typically four to twelve weeks for supplement-focused pieces. The journal records the observation consistently across defined intervals, using a fixed set of dimensions that is documented in the editorial brief before the observation begins.

03

Research Review

Content published by Oreno Dispatch is selected based on published nutritional research and reviewed for editorial accuracy by a second editor before publication. The research review identifies relevant published studies, notes the scope and limitations of each, and ensures that the piece does not represent observational findings as established nutritional science where the evidence base does not support that characterisation.

04

Second-Editor Review

Every piece submitted for publication is reviewed by a second member of the editorial team before it appears on the site. The review covers factual accuracy, vocabulary consistency (ensuring the piece does not adopt a promotional or sensationalist register), source credibility, and observational scope disclosure. Pieces may be returned for revision before passing the review.

05

Publication and Disclosure

On publication, each piece includes the author's name, the publication date, an estimated reading time, and a disclosure of the piece's observational basis. Where published nutritional research is referenced, it is contextualised within the body of the article. No piece is published without a clear statement of the observational limits that apply to its findings.

06

Post-Publication Corrections

Where a factual error is identified after publication — whether by the editorial team or through reader correspondence — the correction is made to the article and noted at the end of the piece with the date of correction. The original error is described so that readers who encountered the piece before correction can identify what changed.

03 Source Standards
Nutritional Research

Published studies only.

Where nutritional research is cited, the source is published nutritional or dietary research. The editorial team does not cite promotional materials, brand white papers, or unverified wellness publications as evidence for factual claims. Peer-reviewed sources are preferred where available and accessible.

Personal Observation

Clearly labelled as such.

Where a piece draws on the personal journal of a writer, the observational basis is stated explicitly at the start of the piece. Claims drawn from personal observation are not represented as established nutritional findings. The distinction between "observed in this journal" and "supported by published research" is maintained throughout.

Commercial Independence

No undisclosed relationships.

Writers disclose any commercial relationships with supplement brands, retailers, or distributors before a piece is accepted for publication. At the time of writing, no such relationships exist within the editorial team. If they arise, they will be noted on the relevant pieces and on the about page.

04 Vocabulary Standards

The register of evidence-informed wellness editorial.

The editorial vocabulary of Oreno Dispatch is drawn from the register of evidence-informed nutritional journalism. This means the active avoidance of promotional superlatives, sensationalist framing, and any language that positions supplements as alternatives to professional nutritional guidance.

The publication uses "supports," "contributes to," and "is associated with" rather than "cures," "eliminates," or "guarantees." The distinction is editorial rather than regulatory — it reflects the actual state of the evidence, which is rarely absolute for any supplement or nutrient.

Second-editor review specifically checks vocabulary before every publication. A piece returned for vocabulary revision is not published until the editorial team is satisfied that the language accurately represents the strength of the evidence cited or the scope of the observation documented.

05 Accuracy Policy

Pre-publication accuracy review

Every factual claim in a submitted piece is checked against its cited source before publication. Where a source is cited, the editorial team verifies that the claim as written accurately represents what the source states. Where it does not, the claim is revised or removed.

Scope limitation statements

Every piece that draws on personal observation includes a statement of observational limits — the duration of the observation, the number of participants (including whether the observation was a single-person journal), and the factors that could not be isolated within the scope of the record.

Reader-reported errors

Readers who identify potential factual errors in published pieces are encouraged to contact the editorial team at [email protected]. Correspondence of this kind is reviewed as a priority. Where an error is confirmed, the correction is applied within two working days and noted at the end of the piece.

Wellness content notice

Articles published on Oreno Dispatch are editorial in nature and reflect the writers' observations on everyday supplementation habits and nutritional awareness for active men. The content is not intended as professional advice, nor as guidance for the management of any specific condition. Readers with specific concerns about their daily routines are encouraged to speak with a qualified wellness professional.

06 Methodology Questions
No. The publication does not conduct independent product or nutrient testing. Content is based on personal observational journals, published nutritional research reviews, and editorial analysis of existing sources. Supplement selection for observation is not compensated by any brand or retailer.
The editorial team acknowledges that observational periods of four to twelve weeks are insufficient for drawing the kind of conclusions that a controlled nutritional study would support. The purpose of the observation is to document a pattern, not to establish a mechanism. The limitations of each observation are stated within the piece, and readers are directed to published research where a broader evidence base exists.
Where published nutritional research on a subject is mixed or conflicting, the piece notes the divergence rather than selecting only the sources that support a particular conclusion. The editorial position is that representing the state of the evidence accurately is more valuable to the reader than constructing a tidier narrative from a partial selection of sources.
Reader suggestions for topics are welcomed at [email protected]. The editorial team considers all suggestions in the context of the publication's focus on everyday supplementation habits and nutritional awareness for active men. Suggestions that fall within that editorial scope are given priority consideration for the following quarterly editorial calendar.
